Mike Daniels is the co-owner of Beacon Consulting, LLC, and has been in the healthcare field for over fifteen years. He has spent the majority of his nursing career in the long-term post-acute care setting. Mike has a wide skill set from the experience and knowledge he has gained functioning in the following roles; Infection Preventionist, Staff Development Coordinator, MDS Coordinator, Regional Clinical Director, and Regional MDS Consultant. He is passionate about the RAI process and considers MDS to be his chief pursuit. Mike’s areas of expertise includes: MDS coding accuracy, Medicare utilization and compliance, PDPM clinical reimbursement, ICD-10 coding, education, staff development, quality measures, and managed care. Mike serves as the treasurer in the local AAPC chapter and is an active member of the AAPACN. Mike is a proud father and in his free time, he enjoys discovering the many different lakes and lighthouses in Michigan with his wife and children.
